Our models
Each of our models has a style, a personality and a background of their own. Every look is drawn on the model it suits.
Nora
Early twenties · Singer / Songwriter · New York
Nora writes songs from inside the stories that keep you up past sunrise - the slow burns, the villains you root for, the endings that hurt in the good way. Each track on her debut lives in a different book, sung from the heroine's side of it, so the feeling you couldn't put into words finally has a sound.
At home
A small walk-up in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, with a keyboard wedged beside the bed and paperbacks stacked on every windowsill; the G train or on foot everywhere; late nights in the studio, slow mornings at the corner café, writing until the light comes up over the East River.
Mara
late thirties · landscape architect, in a small practice · Zürich
Mara draws parks for a living and dresses the way she plans them — few elements, good materials, room to move. She would rather own one coat for ten years than ten coats for one.
At home
a flat in Wiedikon with tall windows and too many plants; tram or on foot everywhere; weekends on the lake in summer, in the hills as soon as it turns cold
Freja
late twenties · artist liaison at a small record label · Copenhagen
Freja's job is looking after musicians on tour, which means being on her feet from a soundcheck to a 2 a.m. load-out and still looking like she meant it. She dresses in colour the way other people drink coffee.
At home
a shared flat in Nørrebro; cycles everywhere in every weather; evenings at shows, mornings slow
Oliver
early thirties · non-fiction editor at an independent publisher · London
Oliver edits other people's sentences for a living and applies the same rule to clothes: cut what isn't earning its place. He owns fewer things than you'd think and wears them more often than you'd expect.
At home
a top-floor flat in Peckham; bike when dry, Overground when not; reads on the way, always
Julien
mid forties · runs a small contemporary-art gallery · Paris
Julien has spent twenty years hanging other people's colour on white walls and has no intention of dressing like the walls. He believes a scarf is a structural element and that tailoring is for wearing loosely.
At home
a flat in the 11e above a bakery; walks to the gallery in the 3e; Thursday-night openings, Sunday-morning markets
