Why it works
The palette is simple: one busy, sunny floral print with crisp white at the feet. The white sneakers pick up the light ground of the print and the white sand, so the dress stays the only story. There's no competing accent, which keeps the color joyful rather than loud.
The proportions are easy and airy. A flowing cotton skirt moves in the sea breeze and keeps air at the skin in mid-80s humidity, while the low-top sneakers give a flat, stable base for sandbank walks and jetty planks. Soft, breathable cotton against smooth leather adds just enough contrast to look considered.
Freja dresses in color by instinct and spends her working life on her feet. This is her holiday version of that: full print and full color, with shoes she could do a load-out in. The pairing looks deliberate rather than precious, which is exactly her register.
