Supper at the Bothy
Mara is drawn wearing these pieces — an illustration, styled as the items shown, not a photograph of them.
Model: Mara — landscape architect, Zürich
Why it works
The palette is kept deliberately quiet: charcoal and oatmeal sit like peat and dry bracken, black boots ground the look, and a single burgundy scarf carries the only warmth of color, like the glow of the fire itself. Nothing competes, so the one accent reads as intentional.
In proportion, a long-sleeve knit dress gives a clean, continuous column, and the oversized tonal cardigan softens it with volume at the shoulders and a relaxed drape to the hip. Texture does the rest: fine wool against chunky knit against smooth leather, all honest materials that stay comfortable after hours near a fire and a short walk in the cool Highland dark.
For Mara it is her way of dressing: few elements, good materials, room to move. Every piece is something she would keep for a decade, and the look is considered without being fussy, sitting right on her usual balance of care and restraint.

How it goes together
A charcoal knit dress, an oatmeal cardigan and one burgundy scarf for a slow, warm supper by a stone-hut fire after a day on the hill.
