Market Morning, Rue Mouffetard
Julien is drawn wearing these pieces — an illustration, styled as the items shown, not a photograph of them.

Why it works
The palette stays in the earthy middle register of an autumn market: olive, khaki and tan carry the warmth, heather gray and a charcoal edge at the collar cool it down, and the navy scarf is the one deliberate dark stroke that frames the face. There is no loud accent; the interest comes from how the colors sit next to each other, which suits a man who spends his days judging exactly that.
Proportion is relaxed but not sloppy. The quilted jacket ends at the hip, the relaxed chinos fall straight onto the boots, and the scarf, wrapped once and left thick at the throat, gives the upper half its structure. Texture does the rest: diamond quilting, slubby cotton henley, brushed suede and soft wool, all matte and touchable.
It answers the theme as a real Paris weekend errand, coffee, cheese, a bag of chestnuts, and it suits Julien because it treats casual pieces with a curator's eye: nothing tailored-stiff, everything chosen, and the scarf doing structural work as he believes it should.

How it goes together
A loosely worn olive quilted jacket over a gray henley and easy khaki chinos, anchored by tan suede boots and a navy scarf wrapped with intent, for a brisk dry Saturday among the market stalls.
