Burgundy Knot on the Pont des Arts
Julien is drawn wearing these pieces — an illustration, styled as the items shown, not a photograph of them.
Model: Julien — runs a small contemporary-art gallery, Paris
Why it works
The palette stays almost entirely in pale, warm neutrals: cream, oatmeal and charcoal. That lets the burgundy scarf be the one deliberate hit of color, the way a single painting holds a white room. Dark brown loafers ground the base without competing.
Proportion is loose but controlled. The soft-shouldered blazer hangs open over a chunky cable-knit, and the relaxed wool trousers carry that ease down to a substantial chunky sole. The scarf, wound high and thick at the throat, gives the top half its architecture. The textures do the rest: ridged cable, soft wool-blend tailoring, smooth leather and a dense knit scarf.
This is a cool autumn morning on the river in Paris, warm enough to walk without a coat. For Julien it reads exactly right: tailoring worn without stiffness, color placed with a curator's restraint, and the scarf treated as the frame, not the afterthought.

How it goes together
A loose oatmeal deconstructed blazer over a cream cable-knit and charcoal relaxed wool trousers, anchored by a burgundy wool scarf wound high and thick as the look's single structural accent.
